'Metal Gear Solid 5' DLC update: Launch date for 'Code In Silence' DLC revealed; Konami to work new online development items, 'Survival Mode' details!

New details for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will feature a launch date for "Code In Silence", new online item developments and "Survival Mode".

Konami announced the official launch date for "Metal Gear Online's" upcoming DLC expansion "Code In Silence" on March 15 for PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as the PC platform, Attack of the Fanboy reported. The new expansion pack will feature "Metal Gear Solid 5's" fan-favorite sniper, Quiet as a new unique character joining Big Boss/ Naked Snake and Revolver Ocelot.

The "Cloaked In Silence" DLC pack will include three new playable maps: Rust Palace, Azure Mountain and Coral Complex.The Coral Complex is a map within the Mother Base as players can use the tall towers and storage containers as cover from enemy attacks and a tactical advantage against them. Rust Palace is a large multi-level building located around Afghanistan as the internal area will more dusty rooms that they can use for cover and sniping positions, while the the outside area will be difficult for players to find cover. Azure Mountain is an outdoor plain in Africa which offers small cluster of buildings for scant cover with only derelict walls and occasional scrubland surrounding the massive rock called "Cradle of Spirits".

There is also a new gameplay content called "Appeal Action" that allow gamers to strike unique poses for their character and new free mission called "Sabotage" for "Metal Gear Online.

The Sabotage mission will let gamers destroy or fulton an enemy missile before the round time expires. To access the missile players must hack into the terminals in order to deactivate the Electromagnetic barrier and once the hack is done, gamers can choose either to reactivate the barrier or protect the missile.

Konami added that they will also add another game mode for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" called "Survival Mode". The new game mode will focus on gamers trying to reach the highest win streak in "MGO".The maps for "Survival Mode" can be played for free up to ten times a week and resets each Tuesday. But gamers that have purchased the "Cloaked In Silence" DLC will be granted unlimited access to the game mode.

The "Cloaked In Silence" DLC will cost around $4 and the Appeal packs will cost around $2 each.

In other news, new item developments for "Metal Gear Online" will be in the works as Konami stated in the game's official website that they will be working on three items for the game.

These items include the D.Mine Marker and Cam Marking DVC, the AM MRS-73 NL none-lethal rifle and UA-Drone.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One,PS3, Xbox 360 and for the PC platform.
