Game producer Mike Evans told Trusted Reviews that players will need to buy these characters with real-world money to unlock them, and the team is avoiding "Street Fighter 5’s" dual-currency experience. For now, the first DLC character in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is Sigma, who happens to be the one of the main antagonists in the game alongside Ultron, forming the game's boss Ultron Sigma.

In other news, it seems that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will likely feature more characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Capcom recently added Rocket Raccoon and Groot in the sequel due to their popularity with fans in "Guardians of the Galaxy," not to mention their sequel "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Many Marvel fans and gamers believed that ongoing and upcoming Marvel projects both for the big and the small screen could impact the content of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

For starters, the next MCU film, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be coming in July and with the big excitement surrounding the movie, it is impossible for Marvel not to come up with something for the game.

Spider-Man is expected to be part of the roster with an announcement that fans expect will be made in a big event. There is also "Defenders" mini-series and even "The Punisher" spinoff. It is expected that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be heavily influenced on what's going on in the TV and film media as well, EventHubs reported.

There are also indications that X-Men characters are added in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" despite being owned by Fox. On the contrary, the X-Men have been part of the fighting-crossover series so it will not be a suprise if the likes of Wolverine, Storm, Magneto etc. will return to the fourth title.

Capcom characters like "Devil May Cry's" Dante and "Dead Rising's" Frank West are said to return to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." For now, the current fighters include Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, Rocket with Groot, Ultron, Mega Man X, Ryu, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, Chris Redfield and Sigma.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
