The latest updates for "Street Fighter 5" will feature Ed's backstory and move set, as well as clues to the remaining DLC characters in the sequel.

Capcom officially announced Ed as the next DLC character for "Street Fighter 5" alongside a new gameplay trailer. Ed sports a blue Shadaloo uniform as gaming fans were upset that Capcom changed his appearance and proffered his hooded costume in the story mode as his main outfit. However, the hooded costume will be available in the game along with a M.Bison version outfit.

Ed in "Street Fighter 5" is one of the many spare bodies created by M. Bison, but was stolen by Seth in one of his S.I.N. laboratories. He was found by Balrog and taken under his wing as his protege. The character posses psycho powers and has appeared in the DLC story of "Street Fighter 5" alongside Balrog.

As seen on the trailer, Ed's fighting style is mostly revolved around boxing, having been raised and trained by Balrog himself, but his Psycho power allows him to create several unique attacks. Ed's V-Skill is called "Psycho Snatcher" as releases Psycho Power from his palm, pulling himself or opponents depending on how long he charges it up.

Ed's V-Trigger is called "Psycho Cannon" which releases a powerful ball of Psycho energy. With a full V-meter, Ed releases an enormous amount of Psycho power and follow alongside it, allowing him to pepper in shots when it connects with the opponent.

Lastly, Ed's critical art is called "Psycho Barrage" as he lunges forward with a series of punches. If at any point he connects, he’ll continue weaving around the opponent, slipping in quick combinations of Psycho-punches ending with a powerful uppercut.

What makes Ed especially unique is how players perform his special moves. His special moves have simple inputs; they only require simultaneous button presses, repeatedly pressing a button, or holding down a button. Only Ed’s Critical Art is done by inputting a traditional motion, Capcom-Unity reported.

In other news, Capcom has updated the silhouette lineup for the remaining DLC characters in "Street Fighter 5."

Several characters have been rumored to fill in for the remaining DLC spots and these are Goutetsu, Matthew McCoy, Luke and Satsuki, EvenHubs reported.

Capcom will be launching their latest beta test for the Capcom Fighter Network this week alongside the Thailand stage and Ed.The beta test will be open to everyone regardless if they have or not have a "Street Fighter 5" game and will feature cross-platform gameplay for the PS4 and PC.

"Street Fighter 5" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
