The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action-RPG video game developed by CD Projekt RED for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Platform.

The latest details for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature two new game mods and "The Witcher 4" not happening soon.

New gameplay mods have for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" been spotted as Geralt will be sporting a new equipment which is not present in the game. The mod will have Geralt wield a shield, which something he lacks on his inventory items as Geralt can now defend himself against enemies that swarm him and from archers.

Simply called Shields, the mod adds over 40 shields for Geralt to choose from in "The Witcher 3," each carrying the insignias of the different factions. There are several shield designs in there, too, from basic wooden planks to ornate metal shields, PCGamer reported.

The next mod for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will be 8K resolution gameplay courtesy of YouTube username Thirty IR along with a gameplay video.

While the entire video is impressive, the Wraith fight that starts around 3:20 is one of the most stylistically pleasing battles in recent memory. The 8K resolution has done an excellent job in demonstrating the slick movement animations for both Geralt and his enemies during combat, as well as the captivating visual cues CD Projekt Red developed for the magical elements in "The Witcher 3."

Unfortunately, however, gamers are a long way off from having computers that can pump out the kind of power needed for 8K resolution. The specs on the computer that Thirty IR uses features four GTX Titan Xp graphics cards and 64GB of RAM – power well above what many PC gamers would deem necessary, even for max resolution gaming experiences.

For now, most PC players will simply have to sit back and enjoy with the knowledge that 8K resolution gaming will be jaw-dropping in the future.

In other news, its seems that there is controversy regarding "The Witcher 4" ever being developed in the future.

CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kicinski told Polish TV station TVN24 BiS that they will not forget about the brand and wanted to please gaming fans of "The Witcher" series even though they have no plans for it yet soon.

However, an article from KitGuru stated that while the interview with the Polish TV station was in fact true, readers and viewers forget to note that the interview happened in 2015 and it does not refer to "The Witcher 4" at all.

Back in 2015, Kicinski went onto a Polish TV show and talked a bit about the initial success of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." At the time, he also spoke a little bit about CD Projekt’s plans for expansions, which turned out to be "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" for the sequel.

The publisher added that Kicinski did not claim to have a possible "The Witcher 4" game anytime soon, but did mention that "The Witcher 3's" success could benefit the development of their latest game, "Cyberpunk 2077."

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
