'Pokken Tournament' Update: New Gameplay Will Feature Multiplayer, Rank Match Modes; Chandelure, Magikarp, Garchump, Braixen, Sylveon Added To The Roster!

New details for "Pokken Tournament" will feature new pokemons added to its roster, as well as new gameplay features like multiplayer and rank match modes.

"Pokken Tournament" will feature several gameplay modes within its Wii U version as three game modes were announced along with a number of game perks for the Pokemon fighting game. According to Serebii, "Pokken Tournament" will feature a standard "Single Battle" game mode which will feature three difficulty modes and a local battle option to which gamers have will have a choice to either use the GamePad or the standard Wii U controller.

The game itself will run at 360fps, but gamers can connect two Wii Us using a LAN cable to achieve a 60fps gameplay experience. "Pokken Tournament" will also feature an online content that sees multiplayer game modes like Friendly Matches and Ranked Matches. Gamers can take on other players online using the Battle Codes, while Ranked Matches will able gain all sorts of rewards if the player fights to earn points in the ranking system. The higher the rank and bigger the rewards they will achieve within the game.

Aside from the new game modes, "Pokken Tournament" will also feature new pokemons joining its growing and impressive roster as the game's official Twitter page tweeted the announcement last week. However, gamers did not expect that three Pokemons will be added to the main roster and these are Braixen, Garchomp and Mewtwo.

These three pokemons were featured in the upcoming issue of the Japanese magazin CoroCoro, but it did not stop with this three pokemons only as "Pokken Tournament's" official website also announced another monster in roster in the form of the ghost and fire stype pokemon, Chandelure.

"Pokken Tournament" will also have a handful of supporting pokemon characters such as Pachirisu, Magikarp, Sylveon and Croagunk, IGN reported. These pokemons will join the likes of Pikachu, Pikachu Libre, Machamp, Lucario, Gardevior, Suicune, Weavile, Charizard, Blaziken, Sceptile Gengar and Shadow Mewtwo in the main roster along with supporting characters Lapras, Nine Tails, Eevee, Whimsicott, Jirachi, Mismagius, Emolga, Fennekin, Snivy, Frogadier, Dragonite, Rotom, Togekiss and Victini.

Nintendo announced that "Pokken Tournament" will launch on March 18 for the Wii U console.
