'Mortal Kombat X' News: NetherRealm Studios To Launch Enhance Online Beta This Week [VIDEO]; 'Kombat Pack 2' DLC To Launch On April Likely?

"Mortal Kombat X" to feature a new enhanche online beta gameplay this week, as well as the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC launch date on April.

NetherRealm Studios announced a new and improved online beta test for "Mortal Kombat X" this week as the game's community specialist Tyler Landsdown stated that they will improve the way on how players can fight online with other players without causing any sort of problems.

A new gameplay trailer for the enhanced online beta was launched as the video gives players a test of things to come for "Mortal Kombat X". According to Landsdown, the goal of the online beta test is to move away from the dynamic input latency model and updating the network code in its online content. This process will be similar to the GGPO model and it will prevent gamers from lagging and other frustrations gamers experience during online gameplay, VG 24/7 reported.

NetherRealm Studios plans on making the enhance online beta looked and feel like an offline game mode at the same time its an online mode, but with a maintained consistency response. Players will no longer wait for other players to agree on input when they search for opponents online.

Landsdown added that online players can sign up for the beta online at beta.mortalkombat.com and it will start on Jan. 19. Playable characters within the online beta includes Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Jacqui Briggs. Once the players are done playing NetherRealm Studios encourage fans to give out comments and suggestion regarding the online beta as their feedbacks will used to gather new data for new idea and concepts for "Mortal Kombat X" soon.

In other news, the launch date for the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC for "Mortal Kombat X" has been revealed as gaming fans speculated that it will launch on April, Parent Herald reported.

The Kombat Pack 2 will feature four new DLC characters within the game such as Bo'Rai Cho, Tri-borg, Leatherface and an alien Xenomorph. The new DLC also marks the return of Goro as a downloadable character and several skin packs for "MKX" characters Erron Black, Takeda, D'Vorah, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kano, Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

A special broadcast at the ESL Finals on Jan. 24 will feature one the four DLC characters as a playable fighter in the event.

"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
