Fresh information suggests that Samsung has made the beta version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update available for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users.

Recently, it was reported that Samsung is testing beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update with select beta testers in South Korea and the U.K. Now, the South Korean tech giant has released the beta edition of Android 6.0.1 upgrade for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users, Android Authority reported.

Users who have subscribed for the beta program can navigate to Settings > About device > Software update to receive the upgrade. The Android 6.0.1 update is said to be an incremental update. Its main attraction is that it includes an extensive list of new emojis. It also brings along improvements to overall performance of the operating system.

It has now become easier to access the Private Mode then before. The "install overnight" feature allows devices to perform software updates between 2 AM to 5 AM late night. For the Edge panels has been improved to become more accessible.

When users wanted to enable or disable panels in Android 6.0, it required accessing the submenus. However, the new update brings along checkbox near each panel allowing users to easily enable or disable them. The panel for Tasks has been update to become more customizable.

Another change that has arrived with Android 6.0.1 update is that the page scrolling speed has been reduced. This technique has been already used by Apple on its iPhones.

It is all about reducing the speed of scrolling so that it takes a little more time to reach the new elements at the bottom of the page. This allows the processor to have sufficient time to compute and display the scrolling elements. This can ultimately help in reducing issues like lags and stutters. However, the only downside of it is that it will take more time for the user to reach the bottom of a lengthy page, Phone Arena reported.

Since it is beta version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, it is not a stable build. Hence, it will take some time for arrival of the fine-tuned edition of the update.
