Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Status for LG V10, LG G4, LG G Stylo, LG G3, LG Nexus 5X

LG has started Android 6.0 Marshmallow release for its smartphones. Here is the current status on the roll out for smartphones like LG V10, LG G4, LG G Stylo, LG G3 and LG Nexus 5X.

The LG Nexus 5X was launched with Android 6.0 preinstalled. Since it is a Nexus product, it has already received Android 6.0.1 upgrade that is yet to be available for other LG smartphones. The Android 6.0.1 upgrade is an incremental update that improves overall performance and adds more than 200 new emojis.

LG had released three major smartphones in 2015. The LG G Flex 2 that was released at the start of the year and the LG V10 that was unveiled in October both feature Snapdragon 810 chipset and flagship specs. However, owners of both the devices are waiting for the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade.

The LG G4 users have started receiving Android 6.0 update since October 2015. It was first made available for users in South Korea and then in Poland. The update is gradually coming to users across the world in regions like Europe, Asia, North America and South America, Android Geeks reported.

The Android M update for LG G4 brings updated version of LG apps like Memo Capture+ (previously known as LG Q+) and LG AirDrive (formerly known as LG Bridge). In the U.S. the Android 6.0 update has been released for the midrange smartphone, Sprint LG G Stylo. The LG G Stylo users on Sprint were updated with LS770ZV7 build in December 2015.

The LG G3 users in Poland started receiving Android M upgrade in December 2015.  The South Korean tech giant is gradually releasing the latest Android build to LG G3 owners in other regions. Even though the LG G2 from 2012 is an older smartphone, LG is rumored to be working on an Android 6.0 upgrade for it that may arrive later this year, Know Your Mobile reported.

The newly announced LG K10 and LG K7 have arrived with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. LG has not revealed any information as to when it will be releasing Android 6.0 update for other 2015 LG smartphones such as LG Vista 2, LG Bello II, LG G4c, LG G4 Dual, and LG G4 Stylus.
