In 2015, Sony had launched the Xperia M5 with impressive specs like full HD screen, Helio X10 chipset, 3 GB of RAM and 21 MP camera with fast autofocus packed in a waterproof chassis. The rumored successor model of M5 is expected to carry a moniker of Xperia M Ultra. The "Ultra" variants of Sony smartphones usually are large-sized devices.

Speculations suggest that the Xperia M Ultra will be coming with a 6-inch screen that will carry support for full HD resolution. It will be equipped with IPS-NEO and White technology which means that it will be sporting a very bright screen that will consume less power, Phone Arena reported.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 that is said to be second most powerful chipset for smartphones after Snapdragon 820. The SoC is likely to be supported by 3 GB of RAM. It is speculated to come with an internal storage of 32 GB.

The rear side of the Sony Xperia M Ultra is expected to house a dual camera setup of 23 MP that will carry support for OIS. The front panel is speculated to house a 16 MP camera. It will be arriving with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS preinstalled.

Some of the other features of M Ultra include a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port. Rumors are rife that Xperia M Ultra will deliver very impressive battery performance as it will come equipped with a 4280 mAh capacity battery.

The rumor mill has also revealed that the Japanese tech giant is working on a sequel for Xperia C5 Ultra. The purported smartphone is expected to launch as Sony Xperia C6. It is expected to come with a massive screen of 6 inches and a prominent selfie camera that will be coupled with a frontal flash, Xperia Blog reported.
