The Sony Xperia C6 is now rumored to release soon as freshly leaked photos of the smartphone have emerged.

The leaked photos of Sony Xperia C6 have revealed that it will be coming with a huge display and a prominent fontal camera for shooting selfies. The image seems to belong to a prototype version of Xperia C6, Xperia Blog reported.

Since Sony is facing declining sales of its smartphones, the company is expected to release fewer smartphones this year. The Japanese tech giant has discontinued its Xperia Z lineup to launch a streamlined Xperia X series phones. The other popular series of smartphones from Sony is the Xperia C lineup. Rumors are rife that the Xperia C5 Ultra from 2015 will be soon succeeded by Xperia C6, Phone Arena reported.

The Sony Xperia C6 was expected to get unleashed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 launch event in February, but it did not come true. The newly leaked photos seem to match the previously leaked renders of Xperia C6. The leaked images suggest that that the upcoming midrange Sony smartphone will be featuring a 6-inch display. It also seems to sport very thin bezels.

The prominent selfie camera will be coupled with a front-facing LED flash. The smartphone seems to sport a curved front panel. The rear side of Xperia C6 also appears to have a curved appeal. It somewhat resembles the Xperia XA smartphone in appearance.

It is expected to arrive with midrange specifications and carry support for full HD resolution on its large-sized display. Speculations are rife that it will be powered by MediaTek Helio P10 chipset. It is expected to carry dual-SIM support.

The Sony Xperia C6 is expected to arrive with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS preinstalled. Other speculated features include NFC, 4G LTE support and microUSB port. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on the Sony Xperia C6 release date and pricing.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra that was launched in August 2015 was advertised as the best selfie phone from the company. It features 13 MP cameras on its front and rear sides. Both cameras are equipped with LED flash. Some of its key specs include 6-inch full HD screen, 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6752 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, native storage of 16 GB, and 2930 mAh battery.
