We like Facebook, but we certainly love Basketball, so when we heard that the social network was adding a basketball game to Messenger, we were overjoyed. We can't say if this little addition is a permanent thing, but so far, it has been a good thing.

Easter Sunday and March Madness are right around the corner; folks will be celebrating a lot on Facebook. However, March Madness matters more to some, because that date is usually linked with basketball. All these folks can now enjoy a game of throwing balls in a hoop right from the Messenger no problem.

Here's the thing, this game cannot be played alone, one will need to have friends on Facebook. What's the point of being on Facebook if you're lacking some good friends, right? We agree. Another thing to note, this is not the prettiest game in the world. It doesn't have 3D graphics and fancy animations, nor does it have realistic action.

It is just a simple 2D game for the purpose of blowing off some steam and wasting time with friends and family.

Basically, it is all about who can gain the highest score. Just flip your finger and watch the ball go towards the hoop. If you're successful, you'll see a happy emoji with a smiling face, but if you miss, you'll see an emoji being sarcastic.

Now, the game become more difficult as time goes by. You see, the hoop will begin to move around slowly, then it will increase in speed that is when your skills will be tested. We like playing it because it can be intense and fun at the same time. Defeating a friend in this game is very rewarding, and that is something we like.

For those who might be wondering, this basketball game is not the only game available through Messenger. Are you a thinking type of person? Then maybe a game of Chess could be the very thing you need to play against friends. Show them who is boss by wiping the floor with their sweat and tears of defeat.

This game won't be fu for long, however, so do not expect to be playing it for months to come.
