T-Mobile and Google managed to work out their differences where the slight issues are concerned when it comes down to Binge On.

T-Mobile is pushing its Binge On idea vigorously to grab itself some new subscribers. With that being the goal, it is no surprise that the company managed to get YouTube and Google Play to work on the platform.

For those who are not familiar with T-Mobile's Binge On program, it is something that allows subscribers to play videos from Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, without ever having to worry about their data plan being affected. There was just one big problem, YouTube was not supported, but it is now.

We understand that it was Google's decision to stay away from Binge On because the video playback resolution was too low, and users did not have the ability to turn-off the program. It seems both T-Mobile and Google managed to work out their differences where this slight issues are concerned.

"While T-Mobile has always stated that any video service can join the program at no charge, prior to our discussions, video services were not given a choice about whether their streams would be managed by T-Mobile if they did not join the program," according to a Google blog post.

This is great news for kids and their parents, and even more so, great news for T-Mobile because now its subscribers will be able to enjoy the Binge On service a lot more than before.

Don't be surprised if T-Mobile makes this the basis of its new ad campaign in the future, and why not? YouTube is the largest video platform and the web, and Google Play is arguably the most used app platform right now.

How does Binge On work?

Binge On is all about watching videos on the web via supported platforms without ever have to worry about using your data. The whole thing is free, and perfect for folks who find themselves out of Wi-Fi range. It is probably one of the best things the "Un-Carrier" has done, and it has caused for a lot of praise.

The only problem with Binge On is the fact that videos do not stream at the highest quality, which we believe is something folks should have expected before diving in.

In our minds, as long as the video is watchable, then Binge On is a win for T-Mobile subscribers who need to be entertained while on the train or at their grandparent's house. And we know for sure that most grandparents do not have Wi-Fi, not even tucked away in the basement.
