Tech giant Microsoft picked the perfect stage to launch its newest luxury keyboard called Signature Type Cover.

Microsoft has slashed the price of the Surface Pro 4 for its Core i5 variants.

Microsoft has released two models of the Surface Pro 4 that feature Core i5 processors. One model features 128 GB of SSD drive and 4 GB of RAM whereas the other model comes with 256 GB of SSD drive and 8 GB of RAM, MS Power User reported.

The 128 GB model has a regular price of $999. However, the new price cut of $100 brings down the cost of the device of $899. It is interesting to note that a lower configuration of Surface Pro 4 that features Core m3 processor, 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM is also available for $899.

The 256 GB model of Core i5 variant of Surface Pro 4 is usually available for $1299. However, the price reduction of $100 has brought down the cost of its variant to $1199, Phone Arena reported. The new price cut is valid until March 26. There is no price cut available on the other variants of the Surface Pro 4.

Buyers who are interested in purchasing the Surface 3 tablet that was announced in March 2015 is now available at a discount price on Amazon. The Wi-Fi models of 64 GB and 128 GB Surface 3 is now listed with a respective pricing of $499 and $599 after a discount of $115 and $125.

The fourth generation of Surface Pro was released in October last year, but the rumor mill has started talking about its successor model, Surface Pro 5. Speculations suggest that the reason why Microsoft has reduced the price of Surface Pro 4 and it is expected to continue to do so in the near future that it aims to finish the stock of the tablet to introduce a successor model.

Fresh speculations suggest that the Redmond company may announce the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet in June or October. However, since the Surface Pro 4 was launched in October last year and it was released in the market in November, it is unlikely that Microsoft will announce the Surface Pro 5 earlier than October this year.

The first generation Surface Book has received good reception from the audience. Hence, the company is also speculated to be working on its successor model, Surface Book 2. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 are also rumored to release with Windows 10 Redstone 2 OS onboard.
