'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC update: 'Outer Rim' expansion relase date, price details revealed; John Boyega pushes offline single player campaign to Electronic Arts!

New details for "Star Wars Battlefront" will feature a the possible release date and price for the "Outer Rim" DLC and John Boyega pushes an offline single player mode.

It seems that release date for the "Outer Rim" DLC expansion for "Star Wars Battlefront" has been leaked online as video game retailing website stated that it will be launch on April 5 at a price of $14.99, Polygon reported. Previous reports claim that the DLC was supposed to be release this month as "Star Wars Battlefront" will have four premium expansions that are scheduled this year, and a season pass entitles gamers to have them all.

The "Outer Rim" DLC expansion will feature two new playable "Star Wars" characters Greedo and Nien Nunb, as well as new playable missions maps such as Jabba the Hutt's palace, the sail barge garage and Nunb's home planet of Sullust.

There is also a new game being introduced in "Star Wars Battlefront" called "Extraction", a a capture-the-flag variant in which Rebels have to bring a payload back to their transport while Imperials try to stop them. New weapons will be available in the "Outer Rim" DLC like the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol as players can collect and equip a Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards.

In other news, "Star Wars: The Force Awaken's" star John Boyega tweeted a request from Electronic Arts to have a single player campaing for "Star Wars Battlefront".

Boyega stated that he has been a playing "Star Wars Battlfront" games and has felt the same need as other gamers that have played the latest sequel to have an offline game mode. He added in his tweet that if game developers will let him visit their head quarters in the United Kingdom as EA replied to his request hinting that it might happen soon, Forbes reported.

EA launch last week its latest DLC this month which features new playable areas called "Twilight" on the planet Hoth, a new game mode "Survival in the Ice Caves". Update fixes include ten percent damage for the primary weapon againts air units and the damage of barrage has risen from 50 to 55, as well as Chewbacca's Bowcaster has increased damaged from 10 to 15 percent.

DICE will also have plenty more DLC updates for the game will include the Bespin map in the summer and the Death Star in the fall.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
