Microsoft Surface Book 2016

This is the work of the new Microsoft, an organization that has changed a lot on the grounds that Satya Nadella took over as CEO. It comes with a loftier price, however, the Surface Book is an impeccable piece of technology with a mix of excellent design, top-end build quality, and high-end specifications. Battery life is amazing and there's a lot that you can do with the Surface Book model with the Nvidia GPU. Equipped with a sixth-generation i7 processor.

Macbook Air

The MacBook Air is the cheapest notebook in Apple's lineup, especially now that the 11-inch $899 MacBook Air has been retired. It has something else big going for it, promising 14 hours of battery life which makes it the longest running MacBook by far. That kind of endurance and pricing makes the Air a good option for students. It's standard definition, however, not a high-definition Retina display like the ones in MacBook or MacBook Pro.  For the Speed, MacBook Air uses Intel Core processors, currently of the previous Broadwell generation.

Dell XPS 13

Dell comes with a stunning InfinityEdge, in a 13-inch laptop into the body of an 11-incher. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 price tag starts around  $999 for a full-HD touch screen and powered by Core i5-7Y54 processor, matched with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. Although with $1,199 configuration, comes with the latest 7th-generation Intel Core CPUs (Kaby Lake)and offers an epic battery life.

HP Spectre x360 3t

The HP Spectre x360 3t weighs less than three pounds and fits easily inside a bag.  It is powered by the fastest chip allowed in this class of laptop, a 7th-generation Intel Core i7 dual-core CPU-with an equally super fast PCIe-NVMe storage drive to go with it. The Spectre x360 comes with a good set-up IR camera supporting Windows Hello. Also, it comes with crisp IPS panel with 10-point touch which costs less than most other thin-and-light laptops with similar configurations.
