However, EA's public relations team told Mashable (via Gamerant) to withhold the news about the season pass, stating that the company has not officially decided on its post launch plans or season pass plans for "Star Wars Battlefront 2."

EA added that they are not yet ready to confirm any live service plans just yet for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" and after hearing the feedbacks from gaming fans, the developers now know that they want depth, progression and content into the "Star Wars" lore.

Game director Bernd Diemer stated before that reason for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" not having season passes is that there were many implications about it and feels it is unnecessary. But with EA clearing things out the last minute, it seems that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" could have more DLCs on its post-launch soon.

In other news, EA and DICE revealed more details on "Star Wars Battlefront 2's" single-player and multiplayer modes.

The sequel will have a single-player campaign, which is something the previous title did not add, and will feature an original storyline taking place during the events of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" films.

The single-player campaign story will feature an element of player choice, as they presumably choose whether they follow the light or dark side.

As for the multiplayer gameplay, the gunplay in "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be more skill-based, with a deeper learning curve for players to experience. Aiming down the sights of weapons will also be more useful than it was in the first game

Light saber battles are now revamped making it more unique and versatile. Heroes will now react in a consistent way to various abilities such as Force Push, and the powerful individuals have been balanced with a rock/paper/scissors system that should make combat with them a little more interesting.

Sadly, the multiplayer mode will not have partner or squad system, but DICE will add a new feature that could replace it in the sequel, Express reported.

The sequel will feature several characters from all "Star Wars" films, from the original trilogy, prequel trilogy and the new movies as characters like Luke Skywalker, Rey, Darth Maul, Yoda and Kylo Ren.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will also feature a massive multiplayer gameplay with over 40 players,a deep class-based online gameplay, pilot a wide variety of land and air vehicles, and control iconic characters with distinct abilities that can turn the tide of battle.

There will also be space battles in "Star Wars Battlefront 2" which allows gamers to pilot iconic space vehicles like the X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Millennium Falcon with up to 24 players. Split-screen co-op gameplay are added and will earn players rewards, customize troopers and heroes, skills and upgrades.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will launch on Nov. 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
