New details for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature the game's official release date for the PS4 and sequel will not have DLC Season Pass.

Electronic Arts and DICE showcased the full-length trailer of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" during last weeks "Star Wars Celebration" as the trailer feature a new storyline involving Iden Versio, the leader of a elite Stormtrooper unit and take place between "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as part on a unique single-player campaign

The sequel will feature several characters from all "Star Wars" films, from the original trilogy, prequel trilogy and the new movies as characters like Luke Skywalker, Rey, Darth Maul, Yoda and Kylo Ren. "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will also feature a massive multiplayer gameplay with over 40 players,a deep class-based online gameplay, pilot a wide variety of land and air vehicles, and control iconic characters with distinct abilities that can turn the tide of battle.

There will also be space battles in "Star Wars Battlefront 2" which allows gamers to pilot iconic space vehicles like the X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Millennium Falcon with up to 24 players. There is also a split-screen co-op gameplay that will earn players rewards, customize troopers and heroes, skills and upgrades, Screenrant reported.

The only downside for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is that it will not feature a DLC Season Pass. The sequel's game director Bernd Diemer confirmed that announcemen during the "Star Wars Celebration" week and explained that their were many implications and decided by both him and EA that it is unnecessary Gamerant reported.

Taking the above statement from Diemer into consideration, it seems as if the game director and his team have been inspired to make such a move by studying the post-launch lifespan of titles like "Titanfall 2."

As it happens, the Respawn Entertainment-developed mech-shooter has continually released free DLC for roughly six months after its release, much to the delight of the game’s players. Interestingly enough, Diemer has said that the decision to do away with a season pass in Battlefront 2 was done for similar reasons–to keep the game’s community intact.

EA and DICE announced that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will launch on Nov. 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
