YouTube Blocks Adds From Gun & News Channels?

YouTube has recently announced that it will no longer allow monetization to account owners. The new policy is dedicated not only for YouTube but also for the account owners.

Five years have passed since YouTube opened itself to engage partnership to everyone. It means that anyone can sign up for its service, start uploading videos and then subsequently make money.

However, what the company sees as goodwill and which help YouTube grow into the web's biggest video platform seems to acquire problems as the years passed by, TheVerge added. For instance, people were creating accounts thereby uploading videos, which are not owned by them. These uploaded videos could be owned by movie studios or other popular YouTube creators.

Because of this, the company has decided to have a new policy, announcing a change to its partner program. It has announced that creators will only be able to turn on monetization if they could acquire 10,000 views on their channel.

With this YouTube believe that in any way this threshold will allow them to give more time to evaluate the information on the channel and to be able to know if the account and videos are legit or not. Moreover, the threshold is not that high for future creators to be discouraged from signing up for the service.

However, despite the effort of making a new policy, still, some major brands pulled back its advertising, TechCrunch explained. Because of this YouTube is now facing a significant backlash for displaying ads from its partners.
