Just this week, Atlus, publisher of "Persona 5", has just announced and made it clear that people could upload videos of gameplay or stream only when it will not surpass a certain portion of the game or 7/7 mark in the game. Many gamers see it as incredibly harsh and being against the spirit of video games.

It can be remembered that "Persona 5" is the sixth installment in the Persona series that is a part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. The game was released first in Japan in September 2016 and has just been released this April 2017 worldwide. The game also received a Gold Prize and User's Choice categories in 2016 Playstation Awards.

"Persona 5" has just been released recently yet publisher Atlus' announcement for the streaming ban brings a bad image not only to the game but also to Atlus itself. The streaming ban is ludicrous and absurd as Forbes stated.

The announcement even added that those who fail to abide by the said rules could result in content ID claims or a channel suspension. It also added a prohibition on major story spoilers on which many gamers think it's too much. Atlus' reason on the said ban was because they don't want the experience to be spoiled for people who haven't played "Persona 5".

But despite Atlus' threats, many gamers are still streaming, Polygon added. A certain Admiral Bahoo, a notable streamer, has tweeted out a video that contains the method of streaming beyond the prohibition. The clip also contained spoilers on some parts of "Persona 5."

The threats done by Atlus didn't affect most of the gamers. Although they know what the potential consequences of their actions still gamers do not follow.
