Updates for the next "Call of Duty" this 2017 remains elusive. However, a separate report indicated that Activision is aiming for the game's success to be replicated in the mobile industry, similar to that of the "Candy Crush."

There have been reports that Activision is planning to conquer the mobile industry by introducing the popular concept and gameplay of their hit game towards mobile gamers. The "CoD" developer has entrusted the delivering of an authentic "CoD" experience on mobile to the King studio, the one responsible behind the successful mobile app "Candy Crush and "Bubble Witch Saga." The said gaming studio promised to exhaust all their resources to stretch their expertise towards creating a surprising result.

"Our challenge as a team is to create a Call of Duty experience on mobile that will strive to transform the best console experience fans know and love, while also breaking new ground for mobile and redefining the genre. Our approach and ambition are to be fresh, social, and highly accessible while providing a very authentic game experience," The Verge quoted King Digital Entertainment as saying.

As of the current writing, there is still no confirmation on how King will present the gameplay of "CoD" in a new way while still maintaining player's familiarity of the original console game. Details concerning the game and the approaches being made are still undisclosed both by Activision and King studio.

Meanwhile, gamers worldwide are still waiting for the latest update on the upcoming "CoD" installment. Although there is still no agreement about the game sequel, it has been revealed that game developers are planning to take players back to World War II. There have been hints that the next "Call of Duty" update will highly involve an old-school form of warfare.
