New details for "Destiny 2" will feature the leaked release date and PS4 Beta Test announcement for the sequel soon.

It seems that the release date for "Destiny 2" has been revealed as an image of the game's poster was leaked online via GameStop Italy website with a Sept. 8, 2017 launch. Kotaku writer Jason Schreiser was able to confirmed that the leaked "Destiny 2" poster is legitimate, he pointed out the the Sept. 8 launch is still unsure as he cited that it could be a European release due to the different dates from other regions like North America and Asia.

Still, gaming fans are excited to see that "Destiny 2" will indeed coming out this year and it will be sooner than expected. Previous reports hinted that Reddit username Artandalus theorized that the schedules for "Destiny" updates revealed that Daybreak strikes will happen one week per month until July 18. After then, Daybreak will last for six straight weeks, ending on Aug. 29, meaning Bungie could announce it at August.

Other theories hint that "Destiny 2" could launch between Nov. 4-18, that is until today.

Meanwhile, there are also details for the beta test on "Destiny 2" for the PlayStation 4 as it is scheduled to happen on the month of June. Sadly, Xbox and PC users will not have a chance to play the beta version of "Destiny 2" as there have been no announcement for the platforms, Express reported.

So far, "Destiny 2's" plot hints of a Cabal invasion for the Tower found in a Mega Bloks playset, which has not been featured in the first "Destiny" game.

Bungie will be developing "Destiny 2" with more cinematic storyline and memorable cast of characters. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg stated that one of the problems from "Destiny" is the lack of thrill and interest in the game. "Destiny‘s" story was gutted and rewritten in its last year of development, which led to a disconnected and jumbled mess of characters, story missions, and lore for fans to try to piece together.

This led to several job listings from Bungie related to "Destiny 2", which include Head of Narrative Development, Narrative Director, and Live Narrative Director.

"Destiny 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
