'Destiny 2' PS4 Release Date Teased by Reddit User; Sequel's Plot to Focus on Cabal Invasion?

The latest details for "Destiny 2" will feature a possible PS4 release date and a Cabal invasion on the sequel's storyline.

It seems that the possible release date for "Destiny 2" has been revealed online and it is speculated to be on the month of August. According to Reddit username Artandalus, the schedules for "Destiny" updates revealed that Daybreak strikes will happen one week per month until July 18. After then, Daybreak will last for six straight weeks, ending on Aug. 29.

With that in mind, gaming fans who have have read Artandalus's post speculated that "Destiny 2" release date or announcement on that matter could happen on August.

While there is no word from Bungie regarding the claimed Reddit post, the publisher did promise that "Destiny 2" will indeed launch within the year for the PlayStation 4 and it might also come in the PC platform as well.

Previous reports hinted that "Destiny 2" could launch between Nov. 4 to 18 and the sequel will be named "Destiny 2: Forge of Hope."

Bungie recently the Daybreak modifier for "Destiny," which includes all the Epic modifiers. Meaning that players will encounter many aggressive, shielded enemies, but also increases the recharge rate of Guardian abilities from grenades, melee attacks and super attacks. Essentially, Daybreak brings the Crucible game type Mayhem into the Nightfall strike.

Meanwhile, the possible plot for "Destiny 2" will likely feature a possible Cabal invasion upon the Tower.

This detail was first hinted on a "Destiny" Mega Bloks toy set that never happened in the first game's story and many gaming fans believed it could be featured in "Destiny 2's" plot.

Bungie will be developing "Destiny 2" with more cinematic storyline and memorable cast of characters. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg stated that one of the problems from "Destiny" is the lack of thrill and interest in the game. "Destiny‘s" story was gutted and rewritten in its last year of development, which led to a disconnected and jumbled mess of characters, story missions, and lore for fans to try to piece together, Digital Spy reported.

The game publisher teased that "Destiny 2" will have new game engine to quickly cue on new content and updates.

"Destiny 2" will launch in the late 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
