While Ubisoft has not made a comment regarding "Assassin's Creed: Empire" in the Swiss retailer, many gamers believed that it could be just a speculation on the website's part as a way to attract gamers to pre-order without necessarily knowing anyhing, VG 24/7 reported.

Several reports claim that "Assassin's Creed: Empire" will take place in ancient Egypt and it wll serve as a new trilogy in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise similar to the Ezio's storyline in "Assassin's Creed 2" series.

However, a report from Cinemablend claimed that "Assassin's Creed: Empire" might take place in Greece as an anonymous insider told the publisher that the sequel will start in Greece due to the Its geography, and relevant historical era, which is not that far removed from Egypt.

In fact, the culture of both Greece and Egypt are intertwined before. There is also a chance that players can travel from Greece and Egypt during the story of "Assassin's Creed: Empire," which is plausible since they plan to have a new trilogy about it. The sequel might also feature Alexander the Great.

As for its map size, "Assassin's Creed: Empire's" map will likely be bigger than the "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag." It is also rumored the player will take control of a character, who is an ancestor of Altair, the protagonist of the first "Assassin's Creed" game.

For now, Ubisoft has not officially announced a new "Assassin's Creed" game this year and they are currently working on post-launch plans for "Watch Dogs 2" and "For Honor" this year.

Gaming fans will likely hear more details for "Assassin's Creed: Empire" very soon.
