"#S8 is READY & will be present to MWC, though NOT showcased to the public. Little bird told me 3/29, available w17, from 849!!! #galaxyS8," Smartphone tipster Ricciolo1 posted on Twitter. The tweet also suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S8's starting price will be about 849 EUR or around 900 USD. This is higher than all previous Galaxy S phones and even more than current-generation iPhone prices.

Samsung is speculated to launch two Galaxy S8 models: a 2K 5.7-inch display and a phone with a 6.2-inch 4K screen called Galaxy S8 Plus. Both handsets are expected to feature curved Super AMOLED displays with its resolution speculated to be at 3,840 x 2,160 with a pixel density of 806 pixels per inch (ppi). Samsung could also remove the headphone jack from the upcoming phones and recent leaks reveal an embedded fingerprint scanner as well.

Samsung is speculated to be in the development stage for the upcoming Galaxy S8. Reports claim that the Galaxy S8 will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which was launched at CES 2017. Unlike iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s rumors, the Galaxy S8 might not have dual cameras. It will come with an 8 MP front camera with auto-focus technology as well as a front iris scanner which is a borrowed technology from the Note 7.

Snapdragon 835 will be used in Samsung Electronics' next strategic smartphone Galaxy S8. The new processor is anticipated to power most high-end smartphones of 2017. It deploys the company's 10 nm FinFet process node that ensures top caliber performance. It is efficient and will enhance battery life, consuming 25 percent less power than its predecessor. The processor also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 support.
