"Super Mario Run" is free to download. However, the free version only has a limited number of levels. The game can be purchased for $9.99, and purchasing it will unlock more levels, according to Android Headlines.

As of this writing, "Super Mario Run" has appeared on the Android Play Store, but not as a full game. Interested gamers can pre-register and receive a notification once the game is rolled out in their region.

"Super Mario Run" is one of Nintendo's forays into the mobile gaming industry. Not counting "Pokemon Go," this is Nintendo's second mobile game next to "Miitomo."The game features Nintendo's most iconic character: Mario. The game falls into the platform genre with auto-scrolling stages. Players have one command, and that is to tap the screen which makes Mario jump. Players must guide Mario through all levels by jumping through obstacles and battling some enemies.

The full "Super Mario Run" features 24 levels distributed in six worlds when playing the World Tour Mode. There is also the Toad Rally game mode which lets players challenge "ghost" version of other players through a similar level.

According to The Verge, aside from the "Super Mario Run," Nintendo is also expected to release two mobile games this year, "Fire Emblem" and "Animal Crossing." Nintendo is yet to confirm the official release date of the two games.
