When Apple introduced the new iPhone 7, it showed a charcoal black color option called "black" and a glossy black variant called "jet black." The jet black version looks elegant. The version of the device has been drawing plenty of attention and could be the most wanted variant of the iPhone 7.

While the new color looks striking, it is said to be easily scratched. The iPhone 7 jet black variant is prone to scratches as mentioned in Apple's footnote disclaimer on the tech specs page. According to Apple, "The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use."

Apple suggests that customers use one of the many cases available to protect the iPhone. Some analysts have noted that this may lead customers to choose a different color especially since the jet black version of the iPhone 7 has a slightly higher price.

Meanwhile, after Apple launched the iOS 10 to the public, users immediately reported error messages of "bricking," which renders their devices unusable because of software or hardware problem. Many users who downloaded the iOS 10 via wi-fi ended up useless phones.

"We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability," Apple stated. "The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers."

Apple has stated that bricked phones should be connected to a computer and put in recovery mode. Then it should be updated to do a new iOS installation.
