Since leaked images of OnePlus 3 as well its retail boxes have surfaced, the rumor mill is claiming that the smartphone's release is imminent.

Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus had revealed through an interview earlier this year that the OnePlus 3 would be arriving by the end of second quarter. Speculations claim that the smartphone may get announced in this month and it will be available for purchase by next month.

On Weibo, the social networking site from China, a leakster has revealed few photos of OnePlus 3 smartphone placed inside a case. The physical Home button can be clearly seen on the front side of the smartphone, Phone Arena reported.

The same leakster has also revealed leaked photos of the retail boxes of OnePlus 3. The images indicate that the smartphone will be sold in different retail boxes for varied markets.

Rumors suggest that OnePlus 3 will be coming in two variants. One of the them will be a high-end model that will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. This variant will be arriving with 64 GB of native storage.

On the other hand, the base model of OnePlus 3 will be driven by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. This model will be equipped with 32 GB of inbuilt storage space.

Both the models will be coming with 5.5-inch screen that will carry support for full HD resolution. There are some rumors that claim the display of the high-end variant will support Quad HD resolution.

Both the OnePlus 3 variants are going to arrive with 16 MP rear camera and 8 MP rear-facing camera. The OxygenOS built over Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS will be preinstalled on OnePlus 3 models.

OnePlus 3 is also speculated to house a massive battery of 3500 mAh capacity. With full HD resolution supporting display onboard, OnePlus 3 is expected to deliver impressive battery performance, The Next Trex reported.

The base model of OnePlus 3 is rumored to arrive with a pricing of 1999 Yuan ($310). The co-founder has revealed that the smartphone would be arriving with a captivating appeal. The OnePlus 3 is expected to appear different from predecessor models, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One. Microsoft is speculated to be working on a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 2.
