According to Tesla's founder Elon Musk, the presentation held on March 31 was only the first of two presentations for this new model. As per Musk's tweet, they received 253,000 orders from around the world on April 2 at 7:00 AM. Tesla dealerships started taking customer orders in person with a deposit of $1,000. Around 800 customers stood in queue for long time, which was again a surprise for Tesla. Musk said that these special customers will receive gifts for showing their love for Model 3. It is said that the first drive in the very new Tesla Model 3 is a must watch.

The Model 3 is said to have a range of up to 200 miles, with a battery pack of 80 kWh which is not so bad. It is also supposedly cheaper than the Model X and Model S, and more people who regularly street-park their cars can be accommodated with the Model 3. Tesla fans will definitely love this new car, plus people who want to go on road trips in an inexpensive electric car should be excited much.

Tesla has openly agreed that such high pre-orders were not expected so soon. So how long the customers have to wait till they get their cars is a big question. The company is worried, but is making all the effort to get the production done. In the end, Tesla promised that the company will not let down its customers.
