The HTC 10 flagship smartphone of this year has been officially unveiled. It has been launched to succeed the HTC One M9 from 2015. 

It comes with topnotch specs and features to take on the likes of Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Its release date and pricing for various regions of the world has been revealed.

HTC 10 Specifications and Features

The HTC 10 is packed with a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 screen that offers a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. In the U.S., the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.

There is another variant of the smartphone that is called HTC 10 Lifestyle. This edition is powered by Snapdragon 652 and 3 GB of RAM. The HTC 10 Lifestyle will be available in select markets like India. The SoC features Cat. 6 LTE modem that offers download and uploads speeds of up to 300 Mbps and 50 Mbps, respectively.

Both HTC 10 and Lifestyle models come with 32 GB and 64 GB storage sizes and it carries support for up to 2 TB of microSD card on its external storage. It features a 12 MP UltraPixel camera that is equipped with features like OIS (optical image stabilization), laser autofocus, RAW photography, 4K video shooting, hyperlapse and more. The selfie camera of 5 MP also supports OIS.

The front panel of HTC 10 houses a pair of non-stereo BoomSound speakers. It comes preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with HTC Sense 8 UI skin. The HTC 10 also features a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port. It comes in four colours like carbon gray, glacier silver topaz gold and camellia red, Phone Arena reported.

The HTC 10 and HTC 10 Life Style models are packed with 3000 mAh batteries that supports fast charging. The front is flanked with glass that unites with the full metallic chassis of the device. The rear sports chamfered edges for better grip. It measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 9 mm and weighs 161 grams.

HTC 10 Preorders, Release Date, Price, and Availability

In the U.S., HTC 10 will be available through Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. The unlocked HTC 10 that is priced at $699 is now available for purchase in colours like gray and silver.

The preorders of the smartphone have started and its shipping will begin in May. The U.S. customers will be able to take advantage of the UH OH Protection service through which HTC promises to fix a shattered display or water damage in the first year of purchase free of cost.

In the U.K, the HTC 10 will be available for £570 and it will come in colours like gray, silver and gold. For markets like Austria, Finland, France, Italy, Spain and Sweden, it is priced at €750. In Germany, it costs €700, GSM Arena reported.
