Much before the first update for the preview of Android N, Google gave out a wireless release for better rendering. The update went public for beta testers of Android N on Thursday, and it tackled a few production related issues.

This update, which is publicized to devices in the Android Beta Program, is about 30MB. Though for Pixel C, this update is unavailable now, when the Android N actually arrives, it is going to give a major productivity raise. All because of the operating system's latest split-screen characteristic, that allows multi-tasking.

The first Android N preview was rolled out by Google on March 9 and is going to release the upcoming versions every month or within two months time. Before the final one, it has planned five preliminary releases which is awaited around July to September. The latest Preview1 builds are available only for Nexus 5X, 6P, Nexus 9, and Nexus 9 4G. It is not available for Android One, Nexus Player, the Pixel C, and Nexus 6.

The updates for Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are available with NPC56W build, and for Nexus 9 and Nexus 9 LTE tablets, with the NPC56X build. Ian Lake, an Attorney of Android Development, confirmed in one of his Google+ posts that this update addresses the issues related to performance. The improved work images for the different devices are listed now by Google in its Developer site.

Google's new initiative is to consider ideas from people as to what should be the name for Android N, via its app, the Google Opinion Rewards app. This is as per Google CEO, Sundar Pichai's talk in India, that for Android's next version name they want to use public poll. The developers are going to publish the apps for beta-enrolled devices that run on Android N by June.
