Apple has found itself in a right spot right now because the announcement of its upcoming product event is not causing the Internet to go up in a frenzy. Could this be a sign that Apple is falling? Very much possible at this rate.

Recently, the iPhone maker sent out invitations to several tech journalists to an event it is holding. It is expected that the company will announce the new iPhone at this event, but there is one big problem. Unlike like other events, the buzz surrounding this one is weak at best.

No one is talking about it, and that's a major problem for Apple if the Internet doesn't care much of what it has in store. This problem usually happens to Microsoft and other tech giants, but even Microsoft is slowly becoming trendy while Apple slips behind.

The issue could stem from years of uninteresting announcements where iOS devices are concerned. We've all seen them, and the chances have been quite disappointing. We do not expect anything different from this new device, and that is why problems are afoot.

Apple would be hoping that this new iPhone takes off because sales are leveling off according to the New York Times. Samsung has recently released the family of Galaxy S7 smartphones, and is planning to release more devices in the coming months. Apple just cannot wait until September to release a new device and must do so quickly before it begins to lose market share.

"Apple could use a shot in the arm. IPhone sales are levelling off, after surging last year to record levels that made Apple the world's biggest company by stock market value. And many are wondering if Cook can come up with another big hit," according to the New York Times.

The rumored iPhone, which utrned out to be the iPhone SE, according to Macworld, is not expected to be something awesome, but just a device needed right now to keep Apple going until the iPhone 7 is ready for deployment. We expect this to happen before the end of the year, and it needs to be the most exceptional smartphone in the world to keep competition at bay.
