Google Picasa is dead after years of not getting any meaningful update. This is also due to the new Google Photos being a much better product despite not having a worthy offline program.

With the death of Picasa, folks will be looking for an alternative, and gladly enough, we here at TeleGiz know of a few that might get you excited.

The following are some of the best alternatives to Picasa. Some are similar, but others might be more or less than what folks are looking for in an alternative.

Google Photos: It is the obvious choice because most folks who are going to migrate will likely switch over to Google Photos if they haven't already. Users should realize that all photos stored in Picasa on the web should be available in Google Photos, so there's no need to re-upload hundreds of photos that were taken back in 2009.

The design is quite the looker as well. If you've used Google Plus before, then getting your ahead around Google Photos should be a breeze.

Flickr: We can't talk about online photo services without talking about Flickr. This is the granddaddy of online photo service and so far, no other comes close to what it offers and the amount of people that uses it. Flickr is where we go to at times to find images that are copyright free.

With the Flickr service, users can take advantage of the free storage offered by Yahoo and its sizeable community.

Photobucket: We suspect that folks must have heard of Photobucket by now. The service has been around for years, and it is spot where many used to save their images on the web and to share these same photos with others on social media or community forums. Photobucket is better than it has ever been, but these days, many features are hidden behind a paywall.

Pixlr: We're not sure how many computer users known of Pixlr. If you haven't, well, check it out. This is an app for editing photos and it does all of these on the web. Upload your image and work on it in similar ways to how things are done in PhotoShop or PAINT.net

Imgur: Ever been on Reddit and witnessed the sharing of photos from third-party websites? Those photos usually come from Imgur. It's a place where all the viral images go to play. Any image can be uploaded and shared with to family and friends with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Microsoft OneDrive: When folks think about OneDrive, they mainly tend to have online storage in their minds. However, the service is more than that as it is also a great place to do basic picture editing and to store and share pictures with family and friends. Not as advanced as Picasa, but it is good enough, especially for storing your photos.
