Huawei P9 release date rumors indicate that the Chinese manufacturer will unveil in the second week of April. The rumor mill has already revealed its specifications and pricing.

The rumor mill is talking a lot about the upcoming Huawei P9 smartphone. The smartphone is expected to be available different variants namely, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Lite, Huawei P9 Max and a special edition smartphone that be sporting a larger screen than the P9 and P9 Max as well as it will be featuring more RAM, Phone Arena reported.

The Huawei P9 will be powered by the in-house chipset of Huawei, the Kirin 950. It will be coupled with 3 GB of RAM. This variant will be featuring 32 GB of native storage.

The Huawei P9 Lite is stripped down edition of the Huawei P9. It features Snapdragon 650 chipset under its hood that will be supported by 2 GB of RAM. The P9 Lite will be arriving with 2 GB of RAM. It will be priced around $289.

The Huawei P9 Max will be coming with a huge display of 6-inch. The special edition of the Huawei P9 and the P9 Max will be both powered by the all new Snapdragon 955 chipset that will be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. Both flagship variants will be arriving with 64 GB of inbuilt storage.

Speculations are rife that all the four Huawei P9 variants will be equipped with dual cameras. Also, all the variants will be coming with a fingerprint sensor as well as Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

The Huawei P9 Max is expected to cost around $627. The pricing of Huawei P9 and its special edition variant are not known yet. Since the variants of the P9 are expected to launch in multiple price points, Richard Yu, the chairman of Huawei Devices and CEO aims to make the P9 available to all kinds of smartphone buyers.

There are several rumors swirling on the launch date of the Huawei P9. Previous rumors had suggested that the P9 and its variants would be unleashed on March 9, but it is unlikely to come true.
