Here is the most recent update on release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for slew of Samsung devices like Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6, S6 Edge, Note 4, Note Edge, S5, Alpha, Galaxy A Series Tab S2 Variants and more

The South Korean tech company has already starting rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners in the U.S. and South Korea. The update also carries the most recent version of the TouchWiz UI.

A leaked roadmap of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow release schedule for a number of Galaxy series smartphones and tablets have surfaced, Phone Arena reported. According to it, Samsung is currently testing Android 6.0 update for Galaxy Note 5 with model number SM-N920I and Galaxy S6 Edge+ with model number SM-G928I. Both the 2016 flagships are expected to get upgraded to Android 6.0 in this month.

The Android 6.0 update status for Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925I) is mentioned as "uploading" on the leaked roadmap. However, the Android 6.0 software for these smartphones are also slated to be available within this month.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade has been approved for 2015 smartphones like Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha.  In April, the Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G) and Note Edge (SM-N915G) variants will be upgraded to the latest version of Android.

The Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) is pegged to receive Android 6.0 upgrade by May this year. Samsung is also testing the software upgrade for Galaxy Tab S2 8" (SM-T715Y) and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" (SM-T815Y). Both the tablets are also expected to get Android 6.0 in May.

The Galaxy Alpha is the first smartphone from A series smartphone from Samsung. The Galaxy Alpha with model number SM-G850F will be getting the Android 6.0 build by June. The newly release Galaxy A series smartphones such as Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 are also going to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Samsung had unveiled its 2016 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in the last month. It is the first smartphones from the South Korean company to arrive preloaded with the latest version of Android and TouchWiz UI. Both smartphones that are available on presale are reportedly breaking preorder records in 60 launch markets, Sam Mobile reported.
