"Titanfall 2," the much awaited shooter video game, is likely to be released in winter this year. Speculations surrounding the release of "Titanfall 2" have soared with Macfarlane Toys announcing that they shall release Titanfall action figures later this year. It is widely believed that release of Macfarlane's action figures, based on "Titanfall 2," shall coincide with release of the video game.

Comic Book reported that the upcoming toys shall be seven inches tall and the toys shall be a part of Macfarlane's 2016 Collector Box Program. Each toy shall have features of articulation and sports accessories and weapons. Reports by VG 24/7 mention that Macfarlane Toys has entered into a new licensing agreement with Toy Ark to release these action figures. Though Macfarlane Toys is yet to unveil its concept design, its website categorically mentions a winter release.

According to VG 24/7, "Titanfall's" publisher Electronic Arts have not confirmed that "Titanfall 2" shall be released on winter 2016; however, they have so far mentioned that "Titanfall 2" shall be out before March 2017.

It is said that the first "Titanfall" brought a revolution in first-person-shooter category of video games. However, IP's lead writer Jesse Stern explains that the first "Titanfall" lacks background story. Stern even said "One of the shortcomings of the first game was we just did not have the mechanism to tell everyone 'here's who you are, here's where you are and who's around you.' We knew all the answers, we just could not deliver it."

"Titanfall" was released in 2013 and has over 11 million players at present.  The game title even won over 60 awards when it was revealed in Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013. "Titanfall" is a multiplayer shooter video game that can be played from a first person perspective. It was developed by Respawn Entertainment and has received positive reviews worldwide. Thus, expectations from "Titanfall 2" are very high.

According to rumors and speculations, "Titanfall 2" shall feature a single-player campaign that was absent in its prequel. Furthermore, Electronic Arts has announced that several new games will be released along with "Titanfall 2" between March 2016 and April 2017, which includes "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and a new "Battlefield" game.
