Google is planning to manufacture its third generation Nexus 7. It is rumored to have collaborated again with its Nexus 6 manufacturer Huawei; however, Chinese media reveals that two manufacturers are now being considered by Google to hand over the manufacturing rights of Nexus.

One would be Huawei, which has already reached bigger heights in China, but is struggling to gain a place in international markets like that of America and Europe. Another is HTC, which is still struggling to come out of its recent continuing slide in the world market. However for both the Chinese rivals, building the Nexus 7 device means a great leap of development as they will gain significant advancements in market penetration.

According to Android Headlines, a new Nexus 7 tablet manufactured by Huawei will be released by mid-2016; however, in another Nexus based buzz from China's Weibo network, HTC has been roped in for the next generation Nexus, and it is to be launched as two separate handsets, one with a 5 inch display and the other with a 5.5 inch display. Both is said to run on an upcoming Android N OS.

It should be noted that Google has not officially released or cited any information about the next big Nexus project, or about its collaboration with Huawei or HTC.

When it comes to the Nexus 7 2016, it will largely differ from its ancestors. If Huawei gets into manufacturing the device, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, an improved Wi-Fi connectivity and additional support for 4G can be expected. This may also become the first product to be launched with an Android N OS. At the same time, due to the decline in tablet sale, many of the major tablet manufacturers have decided to focus on other products, but Google still remains confident about its Nexus series.
