Avid enthusiasts of the video game "Titanfall" may need to wait for up to a year to see a new sequel and a TV series spin-off in development.

According to Jesse Stern, the game's lead writer, "Titanfall 2" will depict a world where science meets magic. This world, however, will remain dirty, grounded, human and real.

Stern and his team at Respawn Entertainment began working on the sequel in later part of 2014, after they spent six months trying to add content to the first edition. As it was then on a start-up, it only had two computers, something that is not adequate to run a single-player and multi-player versions.

Now that the developer has earned more cash, after the game grossed 10 million individual users, the sequel will provide a dedicated single-player campaign. Electronic Arts, "Titanfall's" distributor, has not pointed out a release date, but the development should run from April 1 through March 31, 2017. Stern tells Forbes that it usually takes two years to wrap up things. He added that maybe late this year or early next year, playes can see the right neighborhood completed.

For the multi-player game, it will be even better than it was the first time around. The first game was initially an Xbox exclusive, but "Titanfall 2" will be widely available in all platforms. It is probably due to the shortcomings of the first game and the makers have improved its mechanism.

Another interesting thing that Stern brought up was the partnership of his team with Lionsgate TV. Here, they will produce an episodic TV series based on the "Titanfall" universe. It will serve as a TV series to all its games.

"Titanfall 2" has only been developed for a little over a year now, and is expected to be launched March 31, 2017. Unlike the first game, the game sequel is expected to work in all console platforms.
