"Injustice 2" will be receiving Red Hood today, but fans could not wait any longer. They hope that this new DLC character will go live before the E3 live stream.

According to Daily Express, there is no announced scheduled time for the exact release of the new downloadable content for "Injustice 2". However, there are reports from fans that they can already download him.

But Red Hood will go live at around Midnight CDT on June 13, and not on the WB Game Live! scheduled later today. It would mean more hours to wait for some fans, and it will be June 14 in the UK.

Fans who are getting Red Hood DLC character in "Injustice 2" today are those who purchased the Deluxe, Ultimate, or Fighter packs. The resurrected Jason Todd will be available to everyone else the following week.

Red Hood's DLC character in "Injustice 2" is classified as a Gadget user. He is once known as Jason Todd who once took the role of Batman's second apprentice, but he was brutally murdered by the Joker.

After several years, he was brought back to life by the powerful healing waters of the Lazarus Pit, but it has a side effect where it resulted to Todd's mental instability. He is now known as Red Hood and determined to wage a lethal war on crime.

Since its launch on PS4 and Xbox One on May 16, "Injustice 2" was the most downloaded PS4 game in May, as per PlayStation Blog. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros' fighting game has been leading the download meters, beating out "Friday The 13th: The Game" and "NBA Playgrounds". 

The game's first DLC character, Darkseid, was also the third most downloaded item for the month of May. It will be interesting to see if Red Hood may also be one of the most downloaded DLC when it goes live sometime today.

For fans who are hoping to try Red Hood before they buy, a Red Hood Multiverse is being arranged for "Injustice 2". The WB Games Live! will kick off at 1:00 p.m. Los Angeles time today, June 13.
