'Kingdom Hearts 3': Roxas Return Teased in New Gameplay Trailer [VIDEO]; Square Enix to Reveal More Details At D23 Expo 2017!

The latest updates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature the a new trailer, more game details next month and the possible return of Roxas in the sequel.

Square Enix revealed a new trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" at the "Kingdom Hearts" Orchestra Concert tour as the video showcased more combat mechanics for Sora, Donald and Goofy. The trailer featured Sora fighting countless hordes of Heartless monsters in Mount Olympus, home of Hercules.

The "Kingdom Hearts 3" gameplay trailer also revealed Sora's new abilities and Keyblade transformation, which allows him to summon lightning and some huge god-like arms to pummel enemies. Sora can now run up to walls during the Rock Titan boss fight.

Disney villains Pete, Maleficent and Hades are also making a return in "Kingdom Hearts 3" alongside previous antagonists Xemnas and Ansem. But makes the trailer interesting, is that Xemnas mentioned Sora's Nobody Roxas telling the latter on how he will be brought back to life is Sora embrasses his inner darkness, Gamerant reported.

Roxas was introduced as the one of the main protagonists in "Kingdom Hearts 2" and main hero in "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days." He is Sora's Nobody when the he became a Heartless in the first game and judging by Xemnas's preach to Sora and company, perhaps gaming fans will likely see Roxas return to the third game anytime soon.

The trailer ends with Square Enix teasing a new world and new trailer of "Kingdom Hearts 3" at D23 Expo 2017 on July 15, 2017,GameSpot reported.

Square Enix will likely release "Kingdom Hearts 3" in the next three years alongside "Final Fantasy 7" remake after revealing the financial results of their games.

Amongst all the stuff about the success of "Brave Exvius" and "NieR: Automata," they listed both "Final Fantasy" remake and "Kingdom Hearts 3" in the fiscal year of 2018 and beyond. Meaning, Square Enix could place the release date of these two games next year until sometime in 2020.

The story of the "Kingdom Hearts 3" takes place after the events of "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance." It also starts with King Mickey and Riku finding the remaining Keyblade wielders.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy, on the other hand, are busy in pursuit of the Seven Guardians of Light across myriad in the different worlds. All of this is being done in an attempt to stop the new Organization XIII and Master Xehanort's evil plan for the Keyblade war.

The confirmed worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3"are Olympus in "Hercules," San Fransokyo in "Big Hero 6" and Corana in "Tangled." Other rumored Disney worlds include "Frozen," "Wreck-it Ralph," "The Jungle Book," "Toy Story" and many more, even "Star Wars" and Marvel worlds.

There is no release date yet for "Kingdom Hearts 3" for the PS4 and Xbox One.
