The latest updates for "Overwatch" will feature player rank drops, patch fix on Lunar Colony map and the Anniversary event ending this weekend.

It seems that Blizzard Entertainment will need have the new Horizon Lunar Colony map in "Overwatch" checked first as gamers who played the map in the game's PTR in the PC noticed something strange during the second point of defense.

"Overwatch" players have noticed a glitch on the sight line of characters in defense, as they easily took out attacking players, thus frustrating them.

It is safe to say that the defenders in the game can acquire a significant advantage over their opponents in the "Overwatch" map. This is most pronounced if they used sniper type heroes like as Widowmaker and Ana. Both of these characters, in one way or another, can come up with a sight line perfect for killing. This only means that all the subsequent engagements in the Horizon Lunar Colony map falls on the side of the defenders.

Luckily, "Overwatch's" principal level designer David Adams stated that this usually happens whenever things “shift a bit,” referring to the process of having a “gray box ti final art.” He on to say that this is the main purpose of the PTR server, allowing them and the development team to straighten things out before introducing an update to the live servers.

Adams added that this unusual phenomenon in the new "Overwatch" map will not reach the official servers and assured gamers that it will only stay in the PTR.

Meanwhile, it seems that their are players that are dropping ranks in "Overwatch" as principal designer Scott Mercer told Kotaku that it was deliberate during the start of "Overwatch's" Competitive Play Season 5.

Mercer added that lot of game designers make trade-offs between varying goals that sometimes work at opposites. This is one where the developers made the decision to lower the player's rank initially so, as gamers can play with a more positive experience.

Lastly, Blizzard Entertainment announced that "Overwatch's" Anniversary event will end after the double XP event this coming weekend, ComicBook reported. The publisher confirmed that it will start tomorrow June 8 through Monday, June 12.

Players will be able to earn double XP across a number of scenarios, such as spending time in a match, finishing up a match, finishing consecutive matches, winning a match, joining in a match in progress and earning medals. players also be able to stack up various bonuses with existing group and IGR bonuses. But not First Win of the Day bonuses, since they be earning enough through those as it is.

"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
