The upcoming Windows phone could also sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB of RAM. An option between a 64GB and 128GB storage will likely be included in the set-up.

To make Skype function more convenient for future Surface Phone users, it will feature an 8MP front camera as well as a whopping 21MP rear camera with a Carl Zeiss lens will be included in the package. The Windows device will have a 3.5mm audio jack.

As for its price, it is to be expected that the low-end model of the upcoming Windows mobile device will start at around $699. As for the more sophisticated version of the Microsoft Surface Phone, buyers would have to deal with a $1100 price tag.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the so-called Microsoft Surface Phone may not be a smartphone. The Surface Phone will instead be a hybrid device that goes beyond a smartphone or even a phablet. It will be more of a handheld personal computer, according to Learn Bonds. The rationale behind this is that Microsoft will avoid repeating its mistake with their previous smartphone venture, especially now that they only hold a 0.3 percent share of the smartphone market
