After the unveiling of DJI's Phantom Pro 4 last year, the company is at it again with the launch of their new DJI Phantom 4 Advanced drone. According to DJI, the new drone will provide users with an affordable means of capturing aerial imagery with a powerful camera and accurate controls. A few notable things about the upcoming drone is the new camera sensor compared to the Phantom 4 and will include a plus variant.

According to DJI, the upgraded camera of the DJI Phantom Pro 4 Advance is capable of 4K recording at 60fps. The video processing has also gained improvement and now supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both includes a 100Mpbs bitrate. Similar to the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, the upcoming new drone will also come with key features that allows smooth automatic flight modes which includes; Draw, ActiveTrack, Gesture, TapFly and Tripod.

The DJI Phantom 4 Advanced is prepared with the Flight Autonomy system which has 5 vision sensors, forward-facing obstacle avoidance system, dual-band satellite positioning which includes GPS and GLONASS, and ultrasonic rangefinders. The drone can hover clearly in places without the use of GPS and can fly in intricate environments, the company said.

DJI made an important announcement along with the release of the drone that the original Phantom 4 would reach the end of its product cycle on April 30. It will be discontinued and removed from stores after this deadline. However, customers can still receive after sales service from the company.

On the other hand, the Phantom 4 Advance+ will sport a 5.5-inch 1080 display that is integrated into the controller. The display is twice as bright as ordinary smart gadgets and will allow convenient viewing for outdoors. The Phantom 4 Advanced will be priced at $1,349, while the Phantom 4 Advanced+ is $1649. The drones will be ready and available on the company's online store and will start shipping them on April 30.
