A DJI Mavic Standard is going to be allegedly released sometime soon. Recent reports claim the company has already submitted an application for Labeling and FCC ID.

Previously, the company garnered a lot of complaints from customers who had issues with their delayed pre-orders. Despite that, the DJI Mavic Pro was still 2016's best-selling drone. Also, the impressive performance of the drone kept the patrons in check. Moreover, the company also allegedly sent emails late in 2016 to its sellers notifying them of the cancellation of some of their models' production.

Another report has just recently pulled the DJI name in the spotlight once more. The Chinese drone creator will purportedly release a brand new product which is said to be dubbed as the DJI Mavic Standard. DJI's filed application to FCC has sparked such report.

MavicGuide, a British website, details that there are indications that a slimmed down version of the tremendously popular DJI Mavic Pro will be the upcoming DJI Mavic Standard. More so, there have been images in the FCC website which were submitted by the company. It reportedly shows two labels of what seemed to be the DJI Mavic Pro and DJI Mavic Standard.

There is a possibility that the DJI Mavic Standard would have the same size and weight as the Mavic Pro. With regards to its specifications, Droningon reports that the camera would most likely be lesser than that of Mavic Pro.It would allegedly have a maximum resolution of 1080 HD movie or 2.7K.

Furthermore, The DJI Mavic Standard may not have any sensors for obstacle detection. Nontheless, video connection would be that of the OcySync as well. Additionally, DJI Mavic Standard might also have a 12MP image resolution which the DJI Mavic Pro also has.

Note that the DJI Mavic Pro can be controlled through WIFI using a smartphone or tablet. It is highly possible that the DJI Mavic Standard would be sporting the same. Lastly, the price of the Standard would most likely be between $699 and $799.
