"GTA Online" is enjoying the double RP and GTA$ weekend alongside the arrival of a new mode.

The weekend is bringing a new event for "Grand Theft Auto Online," so players can earn double the in-game currency, the GTA$. Developer Rockstar Games has also confirmed double the RP experience points for all adversarial modes in "GTA Online."

This is the best time for "GTA Online" players to take advantage of the offer, as the double GTA$ and RP has also been made available to races, the developer announced over the official Rockstar Newswire. This is done thanks to the new cars, the Banshee 900R and the Sultan RS. The two cars, pictured in the link above, shows a blue and yellow and a red and white sports car-type vehicle.

For players who are looking to add more gear and content to their game, the developer is also offering the Paratrooper Gear at a 50 percent discount. Gears in this offer include parachutes, parachute bags, bulletproof helmets and parachute smoke. Garage properties are also put up for grabs at 25 percent off, so fans can expand their garage storage for the new vehicles. This comes at an opportune time with the introduction of two new race cars, as well as any other cars that players may want to add to their garages.

There is a lot of things happening in "Grand Theft Auto Online" nowadays, as another new update is coming hot at the heels of players. Adding to the existing 13 adversary mode game types that are already in the game, the new update is expected to bring in some parachuting action.

Dubbed as the Drop Zone, the new mode will bring players together in a predominantly teamwork-based environment despite the soloist tradition. In the new mode, players will have to form four teams, which can each have up to 16 players. Interestingly, the players will only be dealing with one target area that is not exactly large, given the population of each team.

From the name of the mode alone, player will be dropping out of planes with parachutes in any of the five named locations. These are Pillbox Hill, Mirror Park cul-de-sac,Elysian Island, Sisyphus Theatre and Richman College, Gamerant reported. Apart from the challenge of making a clean landing, players will have to race other teams to ensure first claim to the target area. The goal is to be the team that claims the area for a good two minutes so they can be declared the winner.

This is the best time to take advantage of the new mode. Rockstar Games has already dealt with the fuzzy connection, so online gameplay is running at its optimal to date.
