Intel Skylake-X and Intel Kaby Lake-X specs, price, and release date have been strategically positioned to extinguish the current AMD Ryzen craze. Along with Intel X299 platform, changes are being made for marketing advantage.

Reports online concerning processors have been highly focused on AMD Ryzen and its variants. However, it seems like Intel is on the move as it has been reported that the company has moved for an earlier launching of their X299 platform with Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X CPU, according to Fudzilla.

The launching of the aforementioned Intel products has been originally scheduled for the third quarter of this year. Previous reports have suggested that company is aiming for an August 2017 launch. However, changes are to be made, for the tech giant will accordingly push for a late June or early July launch date.

On the given timeframe, Intel Skylake-X will be launch, which will include the six-core and ten-core CPUs. It will also be accompanied by Intel Kaby Lake-X line up that may only include quad-core SKUs.

Meanwhile, despite the AMD Ryzen craze going on, there have been reports claiming that the AMD product is still behind Intel. The main contention of some experts rests on the proposition that if you are a gamer, Ryzen in its current state is not the CPU to buy, according to Ars Technica.

However, Intel should not be too confident about their lead. The difference between Ryzen and the current Intel products are thin enough that non-gamers are lured towards AMD's latest release.

For those individuals thinking of building high-performance workstation or home server, Intel is not just the only available component in the market. With the dawn of the Zen-based architecture, Intel is no longer the only reliable option existing.

With the impending launching of Intel Skylake-X and Intel Kaby Lake-X a few months from now, the company hopes to extinguish the craze that AMD Ryzen has brought. Intel expects to receive a warm welcome from their latest offering.
