The release date of "God of War 4" seemed to be fixed this 2017, especially with signs and leaks proliferating online. However, beyond the hints and signs, the only key ingredient lacking is the confirmation of the developer concerning its exact release date.

There have been many speculations about the timeframe for the release of the highly anticipated "God of War" game sequel. Although it has already been three years since the development of the game was announced, no sufficient update yet was released which pointed to its arrival.

However, in the past weeks, tides might have changed for gamers, and 2017 might just be the year they have been waiting for. To give emphasis on 2017 as the release year for "GoW 4," the new voice actor for Kratos just have unintentionally revealed the game's release period. 

Christopher Judge who has been confirmed to be part of the sequel inadvertently shared via social media the game's release date, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. The unintentional leak was associated with the voice actor's Twitter account detailing "God of War" with 2017 as the launching date.

Another signs that the release is coming near are the teasers and gameplay previews of the said video game. The PlayStation 4 exclusive "God of War 4" has showcased the role of Kratos as a father to his Son Atreus. Other game features also revealed the environment of the game and the adventures ahead.

Lastly, the most compelling leak or evidence that affirms to the 2017 release rumors was the Amazon advisory. Based on their listing, the game will be released in December this year. It was explicitly mentioned that the PS4 exclusive would be released on December 29, 2017, and that Pre-order option is now available.

Although there are several tell-tale signs that make December 2017 as the apparent release date of the game, no confirmation yet is given by its developer. As of the moment, the "God of War 4" is enjoying the hype and popularity online.
