The "Lithodomos VR" as reported by Livescience is developed by a young archaeology student named Simon Young in then University of Melbourne, Australia. This App is based on the archaeological reconstruction of the Jerusalem. In it is a 3-dimensional virtual view of the Western Wall of the City of Jerusalem, particularly the ancient stone walls of the Temple.

According to Digitaltrends, virtual reality has been used by archaeologist to reconstruct and to bring back to the present ancient history, including ancient sites of historic importance. It is not only Jerusalem that has benefited Lithodomos VR. The ancient city of Paris' Arènes de Lutèce of 2,000 years ago has been reconstructed for digital tourism.

The development of the App has been inspired by the developer's interest to see what was it like to be alive in the glory of Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. Lithodomos VR is used together with a portable VR headset and a smartphone. One thing good about this App is that it has been developed backed by archaeological research. Once new finds are available, the App is updated also.

Simon Young, the founder and CEO of Lithodomos is positive that the App can be also used in education and entertainment as well. For more news and update on this App, stay tuned to Telegiz.
