The Flash in the new trailer fights Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold and Cheetah as he shows his move set from slowing things down using the Speed Force to throwing lightning and whirlwinds against his opponents. The Flash's ultimate move will have him grabbing his opponent and time travel, smashing him/her into the nose of the Sphinx to the face of a T-Rex and finally smacking their tim remnants, Gamerant reported.

The Flash is one the returning characters in "Injustice 2" this time he will be joining Batman's insurgency as a way to atone for his past mistakes during his time in Superman's regime in the first game. Barry's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash will also be featured in "Injustice 2" as pallet costume swap for The Flash.

In other news, NetherRealm Studios will introduce a new feature in "Injustice 2's" Story Mode as the studio's representative Brian Goodman told Electronic Playground (via WWG) that building a story is the biggest challenge in any fighting game and wanted to bring something fresh and dynamic for gaming fans when it comes to "Injustice 2."

"Injustice 2's" story will have players make some choices that affect the course of the plot giving them different scenarios rather than a narrative perspective. Goodman also teased that gamers will be "shocked" on how their choices will affect story itself and will be intrigued on how it wraps up at the end.

The sequel will have Batman and Superman face each other once again, while a new threat emerges in their world in the form of the Society led by Gorilla Grodd and the game's main antagonist Braniac.

"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
