Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) With 4GB RAM, 13MP Front, Rear Camera Appears on GFXBench

A 4GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) has appeared on the benchmarking website GFXBench. It comes with a 12-megapixel camera at the back as well as on the front and will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) was launched back in July 2016 as a low-to-middle range smartphone. It was introduced in emerging markets such as India and appeared on the GFXBench benchmark in February. It also recently showed up at the Wi-Fi Alliance.

In the listing, the screen size of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) increased by 0.2 inches. It now has a 5.7-inch display with an adjustable resolution of from 720 x 1280 pixels (high definition) to 1920 x 1080 pixels (full high definition). It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The original version of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) was powered by the Snapdragon 410 chipset. This time around an octa-core MediaTek MT6757 chipset provides power with a 2.3GHz core processing unit and the Mali-T880MP2 graphics processing unit.

Unlike the updated version, the original model of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) featured a 13-megapixel camera at the back with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The new variant might not have NFC support but features a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port.

The 3GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro will remain inside, suggesting that two variants with different RAM count will be released soon or later. However, the internal storage on the new unit will double from 16GB to 32GB on both versions.

The same model number SM-G615F of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro is still seen in all the above-mentioned listings. There is still no information regarding the battery capacity, but it is expected to be loaded with a larger battery than the previous Galaxy On7 Pro which had a 3000 mAh battery.
