Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Specifications Have Leaked Before Its Alleged Launch in May

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 specifications have surfaced before the rumored launch of the phone in the month of May.

A smartphone that is codenamed as Xiaomi Oxygen has appeared on GFXBench benchmarking platform. The specifications revealed through suggest that it may be the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The Xiaomi Oxygen has a 6.4-inch screen that produces a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

The inclusion of Adreno 506 graphics suggest that the phone is likely to be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 660 chipset that includes a 2.2 GHz processor. The SoC is expected to be coupled with 4 GB of RAM and the native storage of the device is 128 GB. For photography, the Mi Max 2 will be coming with 12-megapixel rear camera whereas the front side will be coming with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The handset is preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.

Even though GFXBench listing suggests that the phone features a single SIM slot, it is likely to support dual SIM connectivity like the predecessor phone. It also supports NFC connectivity. The specifications that have surfaced through GFXBench listing is quite similar to the rumored specs of Mi Max 2 that had appeared in February this year.

Most of the specs are same, but the rumors that came in February stated that the phone features 6 GB of RAM and 5,000 mAh battery. There is a possibility that the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 may come in two RAM variants of 4 GB and 6 GB, Playful Droid reported.

The Chinese manufacturer had unveiled the Xiaomi Mi Max in May 2016. Speculations are rife that its successor phone would be slated to get announced in May this year. Now that the alleged Mi Max 2 has been spotted on GFXBench, it may be testing the alleged phone before officially unveiling it.
